Personal Brand

A personal brand is not a persona; it is being the person others think of for a specific problem. This skill fixes positioning, builds content pillars and a portfolio, then iterates with data.

Workflow

  1. 1

    Write the positioning

Write one sentence: “I help whom solve what, with which method, backed by what evidence.” Too broad is forgettable; too narrow has no audience.

  2. 2

    Build three content pillars

Choose three sustainable topics: methods, case reviews and industry views. Publish at least two per pillar monthly and avoid jumping from AI to fitness overnight.

  3. 3

    Build a verifiable portfolio

For each case, state the problem, your role, method, result and evidence link. If you lack big projects, use small ones, but keep them real and defensible.

  4. 4

    Distribute and review

Turn one article into LinkedIn, X, Xiaohongshu and newsletter versions, and track saves, follows and inquiry sources per channel. After three months, cut ineffective channels.

FAQ

How do I build a personal brand without followers?

Start by consistently answering specific questions well in communities and project write-ups. Followers are an outcome, not the starting point.

Do I need to post daily?

No. Consistency beats frequency. Two or three substantive posts weekly for three months beats daily reposting.
