Long-Form Blog Production

Long-form value comes from argument, evidence and structure, not word count. This skill splits writing into topic, evidence table, outline, draft and verification, with AI accelerating each step while you keep editorial judgment.

Workflow

  1. 1

    Define reader and promise

Write one sentence: who this helps, what problem it solves and what decision the reader can make afterwards. List the target reader, search intent and the top three competing results so the piece does not become an encyclopedia entry.

  2. 2

    Build an evidence table

For every core claim, find at least one verifiable source and record author, year, sample and conclusion. Do not use unsourced numbers; verify product capabilities against official sites and docs rather than marketing copy.

  3. 3

    Generate an argument-driven outline

Each section needs a claim, evidence and a counterexample, not a hollow background/advantages/disadvantages shell. Ask AI for three outlines from different positions, pick the one with the most tension, then expand it.

  4. 4

    Draft by section and fact-check

Draft one section at a time and require AI to cite the evidence table and flag uncertainty. After the full draft, verify every number, product name, price and quote; replace hedging with sourced certainty or remove the claim.

FAQ

Does a long article need 3,000 words?

No. Length follows the complexity of the question. If a clear framework solves it in 1,500 words, that is enough; every section should add new information.

Will search engines penalize AI-written articles?

Search engines penalize low-value, unsourced, mass-produced content, not AI itself. Keep human judgment, original data and verifiable sources to control the risk.
