Deep Research
AI autonomously running multi-round search, reading, cross-checking and producing a sourced research report.
In plain language
Deep research is not one search plus a summary; it plans sub-questions, searches multiple sources, tracks citations, finds contradictions and iterates. It suits market research, competitive analysis, literature reviews and due diligence. Risks include uneven source quality, citation errors and comprehensive-looking hallucination. Require per-claim sources, separate facts from inferences, state the time window and spot-check key conclusions. High-value reports still need domain expert review.
Example
For “the EU AI Act’s impact on SaaS,” search the law, regulatory guidance, cases and industry commentary separately, and label each conclusion’s source and date.
